Tigers Taming the Field at OEC Track Championships
The Riverside City College Tigers men's and women's track and field programs continue to hold the top spot in the Orange Empire Conference after several events were completed on Day 1 of the 2025 OEC Track and Field Championships, hosted by Orange Coast College on Friday.
With the majority of the finals set for Saturday at OCC beginning at 9 a.m., there were some field events and distance events which wrapped up on Friday. On the women's side, the Tigers are currently in first place with 132.50 points, followed closely by Orange Coast with 85.50 points. On the men's side, it's the same with RCC ahead with 135 points, with OCC in second with 78 points.
Highlighting Friday's performances was RCC distance runner Kalil O'Brien, who went 2-for-2 in the distance races, capturing OEC titles in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as well as the 10,000 meters.
