The Orange Coast College baseball team has been recognized as the No. 1 team in the country, according to the rankings specialists at www.perfectgame.org.
The Orange Coast College Pirates claimed the CCCAA State Title with a 5-3 win over San Joaquin Delta College. It's the Pirates fifth state title, and second since 2009.
Orange Coast College and Santa Ana College highlighted a star-studded group as the 2014 All-Orange Empire Conference Team was announced, as voted on by the conference’s head coaches.
In arguably one of the toughest baseball conferences in all of California, this year’s Orange Empire Conference title is completely up for grabs, following a five-game stretch that has all eight teams within a game of each other in the standings.
