Orange Coast Pirates Capture Third Straight OEC Title
With a new scoring format in place for the 2012 season, the Pirates continued their winning tradition as they captured their third consecutive Orange Empire Conference championship following Monday's OEC Tournament, held at Los Serranos Golf and Country Club.

With a new scoring format in place for the 2012 season, the Pirates continued their winning tradition as they captured their third consecutive Orange Empire Conference championship following Monday's OEC Tournament, held at Los Serranos Golf and Country Club.
Playing 18 holes on both of Los Serranos' championship courses, the Pirates topped the field on the North Course with a team score of 360 and followed that up with a third-place score of 378 on the South Course, finishing the regular season with a 62-8 record. Cypress (52-18) finished second overall, while Santiago Canyon (46-24) took third.
Jaime Moreno and Kyle Frame each shot a 2-under-par 70 to lead the Pirates on the North Course, while Chris Cochran fired an even-par 72. Other OCC scores include Marcus Mercado-Kiel (73), Adam Oser (75) and Mike Squillace (78).
On the South Course, the Pirates' scores were turned in by Moreno (74), Mercado-Kiel (74), Oser (75), Frame (77), Cochran (78) and Squillace (80).
