The Fullerton College Softball team earned several of the top 2021 Orange Empire Conference Postseason awards after taking first in the OEC standings while Santa Ana’s Emily Rosas was named the Most Valuable Player.
After a 20-year wait, the Fullerton College softball team earned the OEC title after sweeping Saddleback College in the four-game series.
The Cypress Chargers (15-6, 13-5 OEC) hosted Golden West (0-22, 0-22 OEC) Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader. Cypress no-hit the Rustlers in back-to-back games and became the first team in Chargers history to complete this feat.
The Santiago Canyon College Softball Team swept at double header at Orange Coast College on Friday to win the overall series 3-1. In game one of the day, the Hawks walked away with a 6-4 win before defeating the Pirates 7-5 in game two of the day.
The 2021 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) softball season is officially here as teams are set to compete starting Wednesday, April 14th. This year, the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) has limited all teams in the state to 28 official games resulting in the majority having to be played against conference opponents.
