After leading the Cypress Chargers to the 2021 Women’s Volleyball Orange Empire Conference Championship, freshman setter Vanila Pulu-Suliafu and freshman middle blocker Alli Arriolla were named OEC Co-Most Valuable Players while their Head Coach Nancy Welliver was named OEC Coach of the Year.

After a strong start to the season, the Riverside City College women's indoor volleyball team has been dealing with some growing pains. Entering into their sixth Orange Empire Conference (OEC) showdown on Wednesday night, the Tigers were staring down the barrel of a four-match losing streak and winning a mere four sets during the skid.

Fullerton takes Down Golden West in Five Sets

The Hornets upset No. 18 Golden West College at home Wednesday night 3-2. After falling in four close matches 3-2 this season, the Hornets had a major breakthrough with a strong finish against one of the better teams in the Orange Empire Conference.

#3 Chargers Open Conference Play With a Dominate Win Over Saddleback, 3-0

Cypress women's volleyball (9-1. 1-0 OEC) hosted the Saddleback Bobcats (4-2, 0-1 OEC) in their first Orange Empire Conference match on Friday night. The Chargers dominated the Bobcats in a stunning 3-0 victory, 25-11, 25-17, 25-12.

Late Set Sparks Lead Tigers Past Dons in OEC Opener

The Riverside City College women's volleyball team and the Santa Ana College Dons each entered into tonight's showdown with noteworthy winnings streaks. For the Tigers, it was a three-game streak while the Dons were riding a five game streak. The set scores were close, but it was the Tigers who prevailed behind late-set poise leading to a three-set victory.

Nine teams are set to compete for a title as the 2021 Orange Empire Conference Women’s Indoor Volleyball season is set to start on Friday, September 17th.
