OCC's Hayden Clark: All-OEC MVP

The Orange Coast Pirates will head to the 3C2A State Tournament this weekend as one of the favorites after winning the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) and then finishing third at the SoCal Regional this past weekend. The Pirates are led by Hayden Clark, who took home MVP honors of the OEC.

The coaches convened to decide an all-conference team this past week, and conference champ Orange Coast led the way with eight selections. Clark took home the MVP hardware after finishing with 65 goals and a team-high 40 ejections drawn. Joining Clark on the first team from OCC was Finley Munchoff, Emma Willis and Savannah Pena.

Riverside City had six total selections, including first-teamers Yosra Elseifi and Angelina Beall. The dynamic duo finished 1-2 in the state, with Elseifi scoring 147 goals and Beall 115.

Golden West also had a pair of selections to the first team and had five overall selections. Sienna Abernathy led the Rustlers with 84 goals and was joined on the first team by Hanna Menyhart.

Saddleback (Razann Kotarche) and Fullerton (McKennna Dunning) both received one selection to the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team.

In addition, Orange Coast coach Dan Matulis and Golden West coach Matt Flesher were named co-coach-of-the-year.
