2022 Orange Empire Conference Men's Swimming & Diving News
The Orange Coast College Pirates men and women have been crowned the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Champions after a dominant performance on both sides. The men accumulated 868 total points, while the women cruised to 823 total points.
Orange Coast’s Tatsuki Inoue snapped the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championship record for the 100 Back with a time of 49.63 to highlight a dominant performance from the Pirates. The men extended their lead with five top finishes, while the women won all but one event at the conclusion of day two.
The 2022 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships are set to kick off on Thursday, April 21 – Saturday, April 23 on the campus of Riverside City College. A handful of competitors will find for the top spot as the field is full of talented individuals representing Cypress, Fullerton, Golden West, Orange Coast, Riverside and Saddleback.
The Orange Empire Conference (OEC) swim and dive programs have had a couple of opportunities to show off their talent in 2022 and right now it seems as if Orange Coast College could have a leg up on the rest of the OEC field through a couple of events in men’s swimming. The Pirates dominated this past week in their own pool, shrugging off challenges from Golden West College, Saddleback College and Riverside City College in cruising to a win.
