The powerhouse Orange Coast College women's swim team picked up right from it left off in 2019 by topping the field to win its third consecutive state title on Saturday at the 2022 California Community College Athletic Association State Swim/Dive Championships at East Los Angeles College.
The Orange Coast College Pirates men and women have been crowned the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Champions after a dominant performance on both sides. The men accumulated 868 total points, while the women cruised to 823 total points.
Orange Coast’s Tatsuki Inoue snapped the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championship record for the 100 Back with a time of 49.63 to highlight a dominant performance from the Pirates. The men extended their lead with five top finishes, while the women won all but one event at the conclusion of day two.
The women’s swim and dive schedule is off and running and the Orange Empire Conference is shaping up to be a battle between Riverside City College and Orange Coast College. The two squads have split wins at the first two meets of the season.
